well I am AMD and NVidia.   as for bounty (Richard) he was last seen with a ps3 controller up his ass ;-)

Barry Burton and myself tried the beta last night.


So heres whats good:
1.The graphics are AWESOME, from the detailed background, smoke coming off overheated weapons and the glare of the sun, very fluid. No lag at all.

2.The music, there nothing like kicking ass to the beat of the Imperial March.

3.Team-play. People on your friends list are highlighted and you can spawn on them when you die so this game is about team-play and not individual skill alone like COD.

4. Controls. Simple controls - anyone who thought battlefield games were too complex will not be put off by this. Arrow keys and mouse controls and pressing 1,2,3 or 4 for instant use of grenades, jetpack etc and thats about it.

Here is what I didnt like so much.
1. Origin, you must create an account and log-in to origin to play this game - why they didnt put it on Steam I dont know. When I want to play a game i want to just click on an icon, dont want to have to log-in and see an advertising screen pop-up before I play.

2. Rank up system. I was initially slightly put off by the fact everyone I played against seemed to have jet packs and grenades but after an hour playing I had ranked up and gained enough points to unlock them myself. Be prepared to not have the best equipment until you gain a few levels.

3. The hitbox, the weapons accuracy at distance is a little off, you do have the option to use the sights/scope with right click and it helps somewhat but i'd like to see improvement here for the full version.

Unfortunately the beta only had 2 modes, survival (co-op or single) and team capture the pod. No use of vehicles or flying craft yet. Overall I'm pretty impressed so far, I can see this being a good game with a squad of us attacking together.

I would have to agree with Gavin on most of his points, this game's pros far outweigh the cons.

I will expand upon two cons though:
1. Origin does suck, but you can put it in the settings of origin where it only starts up when you start a origin game so it's not as bad

2. The rank up system is a bit imbalanced but level 5 is the cap so it's easy to have the gear everyone else does within a night. It will be grueling until then though unless you're playing with friends.

They do have vehicles out though, a 40 person objective mode on Hoth. It has vehicles (AT-AT, AT-ST, Tie-Fighters, A-Wings, Y-Wings, and a few others I think), plus you could become Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. I only got the chance to try the AT-AT but it was amazing.

So far this game looks promising.
