I find myself as I do every year buying the latest instalment of cod (post to say you should all buy is will come out in the coming days)

I have just watched the trailer for this brand new game. It got me thinking.

Users of this forum, or at least the active pc gamers have had to keep up with technology and have fantastic pc systems year on year, whilst the console hardware remain stagnant, until the arrival of the xbox 1 and the ps4

but has that much changed the standards for us, we are now on the next gen of consoles, but is the graphics that much different from when pc owners have had on max settings before next gen?

we must be getting towards a time where the graphics really do feel like real life and we feel part of the game, if not on console but on PC. why has no developer went down this route instead of just churning out the old games on "max" settings so console users go WOW.

in the trailer for AW Kevin Spacey could just as well pass for David Brent. is that really cutting edge?
