What you guys think about the W8. Just got it installed and looks just like W7 but with some  welcome screen with huge icons lol.

I was under the impression that W8 was mainly an upgrade for tablets and mobile devices

Well it works both on desktop pc and tablets, its just the tablet needs more then 20Gb hdd to run it so ill stick to android

From what I've read, it's intended to be used on both the PC and tablets, to make it a more seamless transition when switching between devices. I don't have any type of tablet, so I'll stick with 7 for now.

Windows 8 is just windows 7, plus a different visual scheme. Just like Win 7 is nearly the same as Win Vista. Just most people tried running it on machines that were not up to par. No point unless you are running a touchscreen. Even then, i didn't like it. Then again, i hardly ever like to upgrade my windows version. I'd still be running win95 v. b if i could.

Up until last year our office computers were running win95 and win98se.  Very seldom did we have to shut them down or reboot.  Still using the win98 but only because of the email database.
