Needs to be micro-atx. Haven't decided for sure if I want to do crossfire or not. The video card I was looking at can play BF3 on Ultra settings and that should be good enough for me I suppose.

Hey chuckles, I am 6 days away from it being a full 2 months. I was about to pull the trigger on everything until I found out about the delay on the 3930k's. Difference between us is you build your computers like you have sex, it's over really quick and all by yourself.

Made a decision. I'm going to use the nMedia case for my build. I will need to mod the internal section to be able to have a video card longer than 9.5", this means I will lose space for 2 HDD's but still have another 2 to use. I will also be able to consider using a large aftermarket heatsink/fan or one of the closed loop water cooling solutions for the 3930k by gaining additional space in front of a 120mm fan slot. Also, it accepts ATX and mATX motherboards so my options just opened up.
I'm going to miss not using the Silverstone case, but that will end up at work instead as it will be a better fit there. |

I miss computer hobbying. To be able to put all my attention on just one machine. Lucky bastards! But I suppose I still have ice and pipes to have fun with.

i7-3930K is ordered and on its way with 32Gig of Ram. 6-core processor capable of 4GHz on air cooling alone, quad-channel memory controller. SSD arrived today. Just need to decide on a motherboard, processor cooling, and video card.Any thoughts on video? Should I go with a single card solution or crossfire with 2 less expensive video cards?
