About $1400.  I probably would go with a genuine 5870 so add $200.  The problem is I just installed Windows 7 64bit on my SSD and all my applications.  But....   let me see when my wife travels again!!

I don't have any real reason to upgrade....  except it is there.  Like climbing a mountain.!  Of course, at my age seconds count.  Oh man this sh*t is addicting....  and you ain't helping PF!

After saving boot-timer to desktop, right click on it and select properties>unblock>apply

Might have to run as admin.

5970 for the win! Next upgrade I do (depending on when) will probably have one. I think I may start budgeting up. The thing is, all the new stuff is PCI-Express 2.1, however, my mobo is not even PCI-E 2.0. From what I've read and seen, that shouldn't matter, as most of that isn't utilized yet. What do you think?

Got the HD5850 because of BC2. I do not have 2.0 or 2.1 either, runs just fine. Just can not use the card to its full potential.
