The King & His Four Wives
Read This Carefully, very powerful thoughts.
Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best.
He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another. He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times. The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she lov! ed him deeply, he hardly took notice of her! One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I ! now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone. "Thus, he asked the 4th wife,
"I have loved you the most, endowed you
with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!", replied the 4th wife, and she walked away without another word.
Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart. The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I
have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!", replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold. He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will! you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave." Her answer came like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated. Then a voice called out: "I'll leave with you and follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was
so skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the
chance!" In truth, we all have 4 wives in our lives: Our 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and
effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die. Our 3rd wife is our
possessions, status and wealth. When we die, it will all go to others. Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
And our 1st wife is our Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world. However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us that will follow us to the throne of God and continue with us throughout Eternity. When the world pushes you to your knees..... You're in the perfect position to pray. Edited by IvIi$$ |

Hello PPl!!!!
I am thankful to GOD!!!!!! He allowed me to live after that freak accident. He allowed me to get back to the most important things in this world. My family. I have mostly recovered and my family is stronger now than ever before. I also thank GOD for taking care of my wife yesturday. She had signs of a stroke while at work. The Lord took care of her. We were told that she might have a bad valve in her heart. It is to early to tell, but I am thankful that she was lying next to me this morning when I woke up. Thanks to you ppl also. This group was created not knowing if it would go anywhere or not. I guess it did. We need to keep it up and get more ppl involved. Last, but in no means forgotten. The troops that are out there fighting ppl who are confused and lost. Those soldiers are great ppl. They gave up everything they ever owned or ever wanted to go do what was asked without any questions. I did the same 4 times before I went to Iraq. I will do it again. They are the heroes. Next time you see a soldier in your town. Stop them and say Thank You!! and shake their hand. They will smile and feel like what they are doing or about to do is worth while. |

Very Touching and profound words from Miss and Crazy Horse. Very true how we always focus on whats wrong in our lives and never what is right. I am thankful that sometimes I can see past my own problems and truly touch somebody's life in a positive way. |

I am very thankful to be alive... I have had several freak accidents in life which won't be discussed. And Crazy, I HAVE gone up to soldiers and shook their hands. I am honored to know that people as good as these have something in common with little ol' me!

With these words you see my soul, still my hands write out of control. My heart and soul stand towering, whilst my brain retreats cowering. Poetry is not just for reading, it must invoke a sense of feeling. Even though the feelings are deep, a sense of rhythm I must try to keep. With these words I shall try to mould, a lattice of my feelings bold. Words can motivate and destroy, syllables and letters gone astray. I do not have the perfection to preach, or possess the knowledge to teach . I only hope you have a sense of feeling, and gain from this a sense of meaning. |

Why must the world keep changing, with human emotions cascading. Hatred, love, anger and pain, changing like the weather vain.
Until we have an open mind, our happiness we shall not find.
Looking through our shaded vision, we hope to make the right decision.
Always wanting material possessions, I fear wealth has become our obsession.
Selfishness, lust, greed and envy, all of which are very trendy.
But what of those who changed our mind, idols, heroes, one of a kind.
A peaceful Martin Luther King, taught the black people how to sing.
Was madness John Lennon’s flaw, or could he really stop a war.
Did Einstein challenge God’s being, or was it just a different way of seeing.
For All the great men of our time, let the world be their shrine.
What of all these great mens’ lives, how can they help us to survive.
Looking for an answer or even just a clue, to set in stone a purpose for me and you.
Does the answer even exist, or should we prepare for a twist.
Perhaps we do have a choice, I ask, Do you hear my voice? Edited by Al Capone |
