I feel for the little girl and her biological father.

I have to wonder, what can we do to help women, not only in similar situations, but to better educate so they don't get into these situations. Not that the full blame is put upon either one, they share that.

This happened in my community, so I got to hear plenty of the details in this case. One big problem here is that child welfare completely failed, yet the crime is so horrible that the entire focus is on the mother and stepfather....and they should both rot in jail. The mother knew all about the abuse for quite some time and she repeatedly exposed Kelsey and allowed her husband to abuse her over and over and over. She lied and acted like she didn't know what happened to the baby when she died.....pretended she had never witnessed any of it. She did. I feel absolutely no sympathy for her mother no matter what her personal issues.
