Hello all, Some of you may know me as torque. My real name is Dave. How was everyone's holidays? Mine was very good. I play on wasteland a lot. I was wondering, how hard is it to design new maps? Is it difficult to do? I think I speak for a lot of people that to see more variety of maps would keep the game more interesting and challenging. Has this been discussed before? thx |

there are loads of different maps torque, just click here...the problem is that they are not already loaded into the game, so each individual player that wanted to play any specific custom map would have to download the map file first...that map would also have to be loaded onto the server when DC PF server was running, there were several custom maps that were available on the server, and those maps were zipped together and available for download here you can also download any map you want to try, and create your own server just to take a look at it...just download the .pk3 file and put it in your Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix\base folder as far as creating your own custom map, that's beyond my capabilities Edited by Intrinsically - January 09 2007 at 9:46am |

What do you guys think of running new maps on the server? If people want to play they will have to go to that site and download the new .pk3 file.

I think all the maps are on wasteland 4 yrs and played regularly. Map making takes a bit of time and effort. I know a few map makers that made a lot of the maps that we use and would be happy to put you in contact with them if its a challenge you wish to pursue.
